01/01/2011 Radish Green with Bacon Bits


  • 5 slices Bacon
  • Radish Green
  • water
  • soy sauce
  • salt


  1. Place some paper towels on a microwavable shallow plate.  Place Bacon on the paper, and place another paper towel over the bacon.  MW about 3 min 30 sec – 4 min per 5 slices of bacon, until crisp.  Remove all the fat with paper towels.  (Don’t burn yourself.)  Set aside.
  2. MWP Radish Green, remove roots, cut into 4 – 5 cm lengths.  Place in the Casserole Dish and add water so that all vegetables are under the water.  Season with soy sauce and salt.  MW until soft.
  3. Break Bacon into bits with your fingers.  Sprinkle over the greens.


The instructions from the bacon package suggested MW 1 min per 1 piece of bacon.  But it is overheating for my MW (1.6 kw).  4 min 30 sec was slightly overcooking.
